Frequently asked questions

Do you provide IELTS band scores?

Yes, but these are only to be used as a guide. We cannot guarantee that these are the scores you will be given in the IELTS exam because no two IELTS examiners are the same and when you are doing the actual IELTS exam, you are doing it under exam conditions and may get a higher or lower band score.

How long does it take to mark?

Corrections and feedback will usually be provided within two working days (Monday to Friday). When purchasing our IELTS Writing marking service, you must accept that it can take up to an extra 48 hours (96 hours all together), especially in times of heavy workload, sickness, and/or power cuts.

How long do I have to submit my essays?

You have 60 days from the date of purchase to submit all of your essays.

Can I handwrite my essay?

Yes, you can, but we would prefer a typed essay if possible.

Can I use my own essay title?

Yes, you can. Please send the full question title and/or table, chart, process diagram etc with your essay.

Can I ask questions about my feedback?

We are happy to try to answer questions you might have about your writing correction feedback via email. However, we have a ‘fair use policy’, which means that students should not use this follow-up service repeatedly for free tuition.

Can I buy more than one essay correction service?

Yes, but please submit one essay at a time. Please wait for your first submission to be returned before sending the next one.

Should I write the Task 1 in 20 minutes and the Task 2 in 40 minutes?

Yes, it would be better if you try to write it in exam conditions so with a time limit and no dictionary.
