How to use Band 9 phrases in IELTS Writing (and IELTS Speaking)

Essential Band 9 phrases for IELTS Writing and IELTS Speaking

Write your awesome label here.
In IELTS Writing (and IELTS Speaking) many IELTS candidates often write 'Some people think', 'Many people believe' etc and this is only going to help you to get Band 5 from the IELTS examiner. You need to start using more complex language (Band 9 phrases) in order to get a higher band score in IELTS Writing.

The phrases in this video are also useful for IELTS Speaking because in IELTS Speaking Part 3, you need to answer questions in a general way 'What can we do to reduce traffic congestion?' If you answer questions like this in Part 3 of the IELTS Speaking test with simple phrases like 'Many people think we should not drive cars in city centres' then there is nothing in your answer to impress the IELTS examiner. You need to start using Band 9 phrases in both IELTS Speaking and IELTS Writing.

In this video, I go through some useful Band 9 phrases for IELTS Speaking and IELTS Writing with examples of how they can be used. There are also some Band 9 words and phrases that are useful for both IELTS Writing and IELTS Speaking too.
